Coach vs student: ALEX vs Xuebao
The student (CASI L2, his pinned run from three months into carving) against his coach (CASI L3). Both carving segments, compared after phase normalization.
How to read it
① The average turn shapes almost overlap — lineage is written into the data: the student learned his coach's turn shape down to the skeleton.
② The gaps are all about consistency: symmetry 94% vs 89%, rhythm variation 35% vs 46%, pressure timing 49% vs 45% (the coach holds pressure deeper into the turn, a mature carving trait).
③ Turn duration 2.02s vs 1.48s: the coach rides longer, rounder turns while the student rides a quicker rhythm — not right versus wrong, but different styles and goals.
Different cameras and slopes, so absolute angles are indicative only; shape, rhythm and timing metrics are comparable.
